If it throttles 50% the price should be reduced 50%. Don't bother people, moronic design that should have had cooling fan. Just buy a second hand M1 or M2 based Macbook Air/Pro.
I do not think a second hand M2 Macbook Air would be much cheaper than $850. And with a used laptop, battery life could be a question mark. I think in this case there is a case to be made for a $850 Macbook that lasts a whole day without inducing a battery anxiety.
Not worth half that price given the security vulnerability found in all M1&M2 devices.
