The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro recently received beta support for outputting to external monitors. Now, a reliable source has shown what Google's improved desktop mode actually looks like and how it compares to Samsung DeX.

Good news. I might have bought the Samsung S9 FE if it had full DeX.

Already has a better windows management than macOS.

Dex is great, it already replaced me my personal laptop and tablet. Good that google is catching up, but it makes it soooo sloooow.. as if it's side project for them. We have Pixel phones for almost 10 years and they just caught up with DisplayPort mode. Another 5 years to polish desktop mode.

It should open in Chrome OS no sure through this feature. Anything else wouldn't make sense.
