Clearly inspired by the popular Civilization franchise, Paradox Interactive's Millennia is a historical turn-based 4X game that covers the same time period but has enough of its own to make it stand out. Available as a vanilla release alongside a Premium Edition, it has moderate system requirements and starts at $39.99.

Just looks like a Civ clone, even the interface looks very similar. A bit uninspiring.

At least you can count on paradox to release a thousand bucks worth of dlc in the coming year or two 😊

Definitely inspired by Civ, no idea about being an actual clone or not. Hopefully not, after all Paradox is not that bad. I would give it a go just for the "fresh while same old, same old" feeling that it gives me at first sight.
