The Casio PRO TREK PRG-340SC outdoor watches are now available to pre-order in the US. The models feature a multifunctional sensor that combines a compass, barometer, altimeter, and thermometer. Other features include solar charging, a Super Illuminator LED backlight, and a dual-layer LCD.

Duh. If I wanted a hunk looking watch, i would go with G-Shocks. Protrek lineup had decent, slim looks before, but they are moving away from that style. Shame

So is Casio going BACKWARDS?

The reason I ask is that I have examples of their "Explorer" series from 20yrs ago that have all these feature's PLUS will 'auto time set' via 5/10Mhz radio signals.

The solar charging of the +20yo watches is %100, they never need a battery.
