It appears that Lenovo will soon release a new mid-range tablet. Also called the Tab P12 like last summer's model, the new Lenovo Tab P12 has a 'paper-like' display finish to improve the feel of notetaking and drawing compared to competing Android tablets.

is it just a matt coating? or is there any other difference?
how is it different from a paper-like matt screen protector films that you can put on a device?

Tests need to show because manufacturers hide all evidence.

Suppose it will be matte. Some differences are:
- durability
- practicability
- guaranteed working touch
- guaranteed working stylus (on devices with some)

The degree of reflectance might also differ.
