Tesla's tendency to try and save on production costs by eschewing sensors and relying only on cameras for important functions like parking or rain detection often results in problems for itself and its vehicle owners. One of those issues - automatic wiper performance - could finally be resolved.

I give this 0% chance of actually working reliably.

We are Nowhere near AI anything, let alone proper rain detection.

i think automatic wipers are working fine without any ai at all for years on many cars
