Some interesting PS5 Pro price speculation has resulted in the potential for Sony to perhaps only introduce a 10-20% price hike over the current PS5 Slim prices for a console that could be capable of offering more than a 30% performance increase. There are expectations that the PlayStation 5 Pro release date could land in September 2024.https://www.notebookcheck.net/PS5-Pro-price-speculation-supposes-10-20-hike-over-PS5-Slim-for-30-50-performance-increase.783981.0.html
Fair price. The GPU(7800XT) itself would cost around U$ 500.
Meh, screw SONY, with their PSN subscription price hike and locked renewal to only new customers they have lost my business. I have 3 PS3 and two PS4s, the regular and Pro. I also have a PS5 but will NOT buy the PS5 Pro because of their predatory changes to PSN subscription. When my PSN subscription ends, it WON'T be renewed, big F.U. to you SONY!
Quite a bit off the mark in my opinion. Digital v. would be in the 550$ mark and the disk drive would be in the 630$ mark.
I think a more logical option here would be the PS5 Pro with Disc drive coming in at $600 and the PS5 with Disc drive getting a permanent price cut to $400. That gives Sony a more reasonable price separation in their product stack.

You just realised now that they've been shafting you? And not 10 years ago when they started charging for online multiplayer on the ps4 when it was completely free on ps3? As soon as that boundary was crossed, it was already long over. Merely a matter of time, until further price hikes happen. Literally no excuses for it to not be free (besides $$$ profit) as it has always been on pc.
