Nothing has a new smartphone in the works - however, it is not a third-gen flagship, according to the latest rumors. Instead, this new device is tipped to launch as an affordable alternative to the current Phone (2), with a product name and model number to match. In any case, it seems its design will come as no surprise to fans of Carl Pei's brand.

The "back panel design" looks exactly like np(1) I've seen the original image and it looked no different than a standard black np(1).
