Title: US$149 Sony A7 IV firmware licence unlocks 4 custom PNG grid lines for professional photographers
Post by: Redaktion on November 28, 2023, 19:26:35
Sony's latest firmware announcement for the Alpha 7 IV mirrorless cameras adds support for up to four custom grid lines that can be imported as PNGs — for US$149. This is useful for non-standard shoots where repeated framing is necessary. Support for more cameras down the line is confirmed, but it's unclear which will be eligible for the upgrade.

Facepalm: Hmm where did I put my marker.
But, interesting way to add features.

There is still a lot they can add:
1. like de-fisheye distortion fix for manual lens based on real online lens data or manually.
2. Full spectrum or chosen ones(IR830nm, UV, UV+visible,...)
3. Auto eye recognition, not just to choose animal from menu
4. Electronic ND
5. AR enhancements(personal or live share) and content with QR code reading
6. Smartphone or foldable lvl screen
7. Onedrive backup would help me
8. More capable cooling
9. Better battery performance or double battery considering all that needed power eaters and winter capacity degradation
10. Backlighted buttons
11. Peak focus color for AF
12. Visible light signalization of taking shot when in silent mode
And a lot more..............
