A boring Volvo by any other name. Imagine paying that sort of money for a Volvo. It's funny the only thing EV;'s have to offer is power and torque, but as a drivers car they fail miserably. Fast acceleration is nice the first few times, but it's not enough to hold the interest when everything else is wrong with the car: to heavy, hideous interiors full of touchscreen crap, range still sucks and prices are ludicrous for what is a far simpler vehicle to produce than an ICE car.
I have a Polestar 2 EV. Off the top of my head, it offers me the convenience of home charging off my solar, as well as providing a quieter interior, zero engine vibrations, gearless acceleration (especially when you're driving up a winding mountain road), good at merging on highways or overtaking (which was covered by your comment), instant heating during winter (not needing to warm up the engines first)... just a few I can think off the top of my head currently.
But I do hate the touch screen problems you raised, but that isn't just an EV issues. Many ICE cars are also going down that gold. I hope the Japanese can come out with good EVs as they're more sensible with their interiors. For my usage range is not an issue, I do not travel long distances.
Just remembered, cheaper maintenance as well. Almost zero usage on my brakes too. Tires are expensive though and wears out faster due to the extra weight/heft.
