Title: Huawei P70 tipped to launch with in-house camera sensor
Post by: Redaktion on November 06, 2023, 18:43:56
In a surprising twist, Huawei is now said to have applied its experience in making its own mobile processors to the production of equally custom, in-house CMOS sensors for its smartphone's cameras. Then again, these reports are based on a rumor that the OEM is out of the camera components it normally sources from dedicated imaging tech company Sony.

BS article.  China now boasts more advanced homegrown CMOS sensors than Sony.  The P70 needs an extra gimmick apart from the return of the Kirin chips in the Mate 60, and that gimmick happens to be domestic CMOS employing more advanced technology than Sony.  The P70 will widen the lead between 1st and 2nd place on DXOMark rankings!
