Confused?

Forgetting the days when EACH OEM had but ONE CPU and sub models were simply speed grades... then came 'Celron' to denote broken FPU however the name was later used for an entire line of low power CPU's (was there not a 'Atom' line already for that?)

Before the recent 'great renaming' there were desktop & mobile version's to track with capabilities loosely tracking the i3/i5/i7/i9 designation and the first two digits following the dash 'ix-xx' indicating the 'generation'.

However now seemingly following ARM and AMD's lead not only does each generation have a 'name' but each type of core ALSO has a 'name' along with a 'architecture' name and possibly a generational one as well (applied to each type of core).

Bottom line?

If the CPU is paired with last generation GPU then expect a discount and current generation GPU then don't expect one. (unless it is a useless/worthless 'Arc' then expect a HEAVY discount)
