1.5K resolution is very low and NOT 1220p. 1080p is already 2K, so this would be like 900p at best.

1.5k vertical, not horizontal so not that low.

Nope that makes no sense at all. Current flagship phones are like 2400-2800 pixels or so vertically, far higher than 1.5k. Also when we talk about screen resolution 2K means the number of kp, so 2 million pixels or so. 1.5K would be a very low res screen.

This "1.5K" moniker appears to be the late-stage product of a long unchecked game of resolution terminology telephone...

4096x2160 as "4K" (cinematographically accurate)
3840x2160 as "4K" (reasonable and acceptable standard for 16:9 monitors)
2560x1440 as "2K" (2.5K, but marketers created a persistent misnomer)
3168x1440 as "2K" (OnePlus-12 counts "2K" as referring to the vertical part of the 1440p resolution)
2772x1240 as "1.5K" (roughly 3/4 the total area of 3168x1440)

Of course, mobile phone OLED displays are assumed PenTile RG/BG unless demonstrated otherwise, meaning they only produce 2/3 of the detail of a proper RGB matrix.

2670x1200 for this Xiaomi 14 here and yes, you are very correct with the whole summary. No clue how and why tf is that "1.5K" but ok, lol. Marketing doing marketing, as usual.
