Intel's new 14th gen Raptor Lake-S Refresh parts are now official. The lineup, led by the 24C/32T Core i9-14900K for US$589, is an incremental upgrade over the current Raptor Lake-S parts. New features in this generation include Application Optimization, support for DDR5-8000 XMP 3.0, and a new 20C/28T Core i7-14700K SKU.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-launches-14th-gen-Raptor-Lake-S-Refresh-led-by-US-589-24C-32T-Core-i9-14900K-6-GHz-boost-DDR5-8000-XMP-and-new-20C-28T-Core-i7-14700K-in-tow.759802.0.html
Suspiciously good prices! Especially considering that the i9 13900K is well over 620€ here in the EU ( https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/p/90915095 )...
So team Blue releases yet another 'incremental update' to their chips?
Snorefest.
It is almost comical that their marketing department also included benchmarks comparing their new products to obviously gimped products from team Red to be able to show ANY advantages.
Gosh - does anyone else recall when a 'i7' was a mere 4C/8T device?
Maybe someday team Blue will 'wake up' and actually start 'innovating' and pushing the limits of their own crappy x86 architecture but I'm not holding my breath.

Everyone is doing that. At least they are not blatantly lying like Apple:
"We love the new MacBook Air and the entire Mac lineup. It's the best and most capable lineup in the history of personal computer."( Clip from their September 2023 event:
