Title: Asus showcases 135-inch professional Micro LED display with 2,000 nit full-field brightness
Post by: Redaktion on September 19, 2023, 17:51:00
Micro LEDs are similar to OLEDs in that they can offer near-infinite contrast ratios, but, unlike OLEDs, the screens are not hindered by auto brightness limiters, allowing for 2,000 nit peak brightness full-field. This technology is also modular, so it could scale to different sizes and ratios. However, the relatively big pixel pitch recommends it for 100-inch+ screens.

I don't the refresh rate affects the price as much as the panel size (you can get 120Hz phones for $200 these days). Still, $200k is too much even for an SMB. We'll stick with projectors for now at 1/100th the cost.
