Title: Apple A17 Pro disappoints in maiden Geekbench run; rumour suggests it is a rebadged A16 Bionic

Apple's new A17 Pro SoC is only marginally faster than its predecessor in Geekbench 6.2. Its single-core performance improvement is around 10%, and multi-core about 5%.

Main test would be if they increased the perf/watt compared to A16 and by how much.

How is 10% not an impressive gain? These chips are faster than my intel Macs now, and they have been for some time.

OP can you please post the scores of the A16 Bionic results you are using because from the ones on Geekbench itself the perf improvement is +16% and +12%
