Das Phone (2) ist deutlich teurer als Nothings Erstlingswerk, bringt aber diesmal auch echte High-End-Power mit. Ob es sich dank des ikonischen Glyph-Interface und des guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses zu einem echten Flaggschiff-Killer entwickeln könnte, das klären wir im Test.

Kamera nur 72%? Hm. Ohne jetzt weitere Details zu kennen, aber für 700€ gibts ein OnePlus 11 mit dem aktuellen Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2, der u.a. die AV1 Dekodierung beherrscht.

Nö, das bringt eben nicht die High-End-Power mit, nur der alte SoC ist drin. Das schreibt man unten im Text auch noch selber hin.

A smartphone for the price of a laptop with the infamous USB 2.0 in 2023? How funny. Will there really be eccentrics who do not feel sorry for throwing so much money for nothing? And then spoil the nervous system and eyes with PWM at 90Hz ...

Ein Smartphone was niemand braucht. Ein paar lächerliche LED Spielereien, ein doof klingender Produktname, darum ein nerviger Hype und am Ende nur überteuerte Mittelklasse.

Ich habe das Smartphone um 509€ vor zwei Wochen erworben und bin äußerst zufrieden damit. Ein Wechsel muss eben mal drin sein, nach jahrelanger Samsung-/Apple bzw. Xiaomi-Nutzung wollte ich mal was anderes ausprobieren. Bereue es keinesfalls. Das Smartphone ist perfekt verarbeitet, hat eine tolle Akkulaufzeit, ein sauberes und flüssiges OS. (keine Bloatware)
Der SD 8+ Gen1 ist auch nicht langsam, ermöglicht somit ein tolles Benutzererlebnis. Muss ja nicht immer das neueste SoC sein..

Empfehle es definitiv weiter.

Differences between PWM rates on the Nothing Phone (2) and the Nothing Phone (2a). Both phones use 1920Hz PWM dimming below 50% brightness and DC-like dimming above 50%. Nothing Phone (2) does a triple pulse per duty cycle at max brightness while the Nothing Phone (2a) is a more typical "DC-like" one pulse per duty cycle at 120Hz.
