Thanks to an automatic discount at the manufacturer's official online store, the most spacious model variant of the very fast WD Black SN850X with 4TB of storage capacity can now be ordered for more than 60 percent off its MSRP, which results in another all-time low sale price.https://www.notebookcheck.net/WD-Black-SN850X-SSD-with-4TB-is-63-off-for-a-limited-time.728235.0.html
My math sucks, you'll have to show your work as to how -$50 off a $300 price tag is somehow anywhere even close to 63% off. I estimate about 17%. Where is the other 46% in savings?
Msrp is 699 dollars 63% off is still not a good value at 300 though if it was more toward 180 usd then perhaps
I have the Black P10 5TB version, it overheats itself with prolonged RW sessions at over ~30°C, which I've never even heard of before. Its half-metal casing supposedly helps with thermals, and why not just throttle? It takes just speed in the lower MBs to have it eventually deactivate itself, which corrupts the file in use. F-ing ridiculous.

List price is $699, it is on sale for $299. Automatic discount of $50 off if the total is $300 or more, so you buy a small $9 item, brings your total after discount to $258.
258/699 = .369, or approximately 37% of the initial $699 price tag.
100% - 37% = 63% savings of off the MSRP.
