Title: Insta360 teases launch of 'revolutionary' new camera
Post by: Redaktion on June 20, 2023, 18:17:40
Insta360 hints that its next new product will not be any run-of-the-mill action camera, but something much, much...smaller. Nevertheless, it also apparently packs the ability to capture memories with family, friends or pets, from the point of view of any of them. It is backed to start a "tiny revolution" later in June 2023.

If they can come up with a tiny 4K action cam that can be worn and isn't just horribly crippled (like the Go and Go 2) then I'll be in line. That's what I've wanted for a while, but they're either too chunky (Osmo Action 2) or have so limited features or resolution that they're almost unusable.

BTW, there have been LOTS of 23D cameras before Vision Pro (VR180 anyone). Even Insta360 made one. Given that there's no indication that this new camera will do 3D, did we really need to work a completely irrelevant Apple/Vision Pro reference into this article?

I'd be OK with a cord, with a battery and drive at the end, supporting a clip on camera. Even better would be small, separate screen for controlling the camera that could be clipped onto a hand.
