Title: Vision Pro: Apple assembles manufacturing partners for first-gen headset
Post by: Redaktion on June 16, 2023, 20:00:50
Apple's inaugural Vision Pro will be put together in the facilities of a Chinese manufacturing company, according to a new report. The assembly partner will apparently build the XR headset from parts sourced from a number of other firms, Some of them also supply parts for other products such as the iPhone, whereas others specialize in the virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) market.

I'll buy the Xiaomi version TYVM!!  I know the Huawei version will best Apple.  But Huawei and Apple will be expensive as hell.  The only company can inject some sanity into the market is Xiaomi.

Of course China would reduce their manufacturing prices so they can steal all the IP before they don't need to reduce the prices again.

I don't have anything against China that I don't have against other nations but I'm tired of hearing US politicians decry China competition and charging US citizens more taxes for it, while also allowing the dependency.
