Canon EOS R1 rumours abound, with the upcoming flagship mirrorless camera potentially coming with an industry-leading global shutter as well as a larger body and an improved autofocus system. While Canon is just about overdue for an update to its flagship line-up, there's not a peep about a possible release date or confirmation of the specifications.

Somewhat surprising, yet not entirely unexpected. With such fast scanning of the latest Sony sensors, the global shutter would be largely a showoff, just like that body shape in the mirrorless era...
