So basically the same performance as integrated graphics from AMD? Hardly worth the price difference of a similar spec'd laptop with RDNA 3 iGPU.
good for those that are slaves to Apple, but why would anyone jump in to buy a Mac just for these games alone?
Nevermind the price points, Apple loves to scam their customers with their "upgrades", and the machines arent even repair friendly either. This is only relevant for folks that are keen on not going out of their walled garden.
As always, everyone knows Mac is not for gaming but it has the power to play decent games if required.
Speaking of the gaming performances, it is impressive to see how Apple's silicons have improved in gaming with so many transitions from DX to Metal in just 2.5 years since its inception. But on the other hand, the flagship M2 Ultra is still lacking behind the last gen of Intel chip Mac even versus Macbook Pro 16 (5500m/5600m). The latter can natively support DX in the bootcamp to play most AAA games in 1080p-1440p with some tweaks in settings and the use of 3rd-party AMD GPU driver to reach 50-60+fps easily. Optimistically, I expect M3 gen can match the gaming performances of last-gen Intel chip Mac.
