The price of Samsung's flagship PCIe 4.0 SSD with 2TB of storage capacity is almost cut in half as multiple retailers are currently selling the 990 Pro with a 45 percent discount in relation to the original MSRP, which already seems like a distant past as the ailing storage segment fights an imbalance caused by oversupply and rather low demand.
