For decades, macOS has been regarded as the pariah of operating systems when it comes to gaming. Things are about to get a lot better for macOS as the upcoming Sonoma update is bringing a dedicated Game Mode along with a Game Porting Toolkit which should greatly streamline game coding on Apple's operating system.
