Title: VinFast VF8 with up to 293 miles of estimated range launches in the US

The Vietnamese auto company VinFast has announced that all stock of its new VF8 all-electric SUV for sale in the US has now landed in its new market. They come in 2 Eco and Plus SKUs, rated for up to 293 miles of (WLTP) range per charge and 402 horsepower respectively. They will start at just under and over US$50,000 respectively, with additional leasing options.

VinFast has the right idea, but the VF8 is nowhere near ready for the customer deliveries that are already happening.

Every single automotive reviewer has given us a thumbs down. It is only about $100 cheaper per month than Tesla or other electrics in the same size. And everyone says it's just not worth it for the risk of buying something brand new with such bad quality issues. This is just my two cents and only an opinion of course based on automotive magazine reviewers and bloggers
