Microsoft have updated the Surface Laptop 5 with Alder Lake processors and Thunderbolt 4 - but the rest of the device has remained the same. Neither performance nor features can make up for the laptop's premium price.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Microsoft-Surface-Laptop-5-15-review-Old-design-for-a-premium-price.709645.0.html
To have 84% as a score, despite being an offering that is way below par with similarly priced laptops is an insult to your readers and quite a disappointment from a reputable site as your self.
It would be better to push these manufacturers forward by scoring down on a company providing no improvements whatsoever for 5 straight generations!!!! I mean even Apple and Dell, do better and they are the OG in not making changes, there is Lenovo , but they are an entire story by themselves

you need to read the transparency; they receive a free product to review it then they need to send it back.
that why you have high score for awful device like this laptop, that should cost $1000 at max.
this why I said in the past few years ago, that the reviewers are not that trustworthy as they used to be.
but at least they have list some of its downside.
84% is a very low score considering its price. Anyway, reading the review makes it very clear this laptop is not competitive at all.
