So they're able to increase the capacity because stacking increases the surface area at a given volume vs rolling the anode and cathode? Where is the 10% coming from? Is it the inner most part of the roll?
Can we appreciate the fact that they need to implement a completely new manufacturing process just to eke out additional 10% capacity. All of those battery rollers will have to be replaced by automotive "stackers".
Wonder how will this impact safety and lifecycle count. Just guessing that these are also improved since they wouldn't have approved this otherwise.
