The first electric cars with sodium-ion battery from CATL will be made by Chery, as BYD also readies its own Na-ion cells for mass production this year, probably in the Seagull. The cheap and safe sodium-ion batteries offer much longer lifespan but also lower energy density than lithium batteries.
