Serial leaker Moore's Law Is Dead has alleged in a recent video that AIBs partners aren't stoked to see NVIDIA marking the RTX 4070 price down significantly from the initial US$749.99 to US$599.99. The review deadline of non-cheapest models equals the launch date. During the first few seconds, interesting models are reasonably priced. After we will have had a chance to read / view the reviews of the individual models, we might want to buy but won't because prices will be too high again. Nvidia's brilliant scheme not to sell RTX 4000 in significant amounts continues.
These are just some really stupid rationalizations by MLID, trying to justify his earlier silly 4070 $750 price prediction.
The last of us? Isn't that more like an interactive novel? And it needs 12GB VRAM on 1080P? Do these guys have a conscience? Nobody should buy it until they cut 2/3 off VRAM requirements.

And what of the mobile 4070 then? Price cut too? The mobile versions effectively use a chip 1 tier lower but should at least technically be priced similar to the chip they claim to be?
The rtx4070 was never going to be $750. And I think it was stated that Nvidia said to the aib partners not to charge more than $750 for their cards. That would probably mean the tricked out ones.
I said a long time ago without having to leak anything that they were going to charge $599 because that was going be the most reasonable price. I said that on many posts I made.

This guy pulls this BS every time one of his "predictions" fails to come true .... Oh he wasn't wrong about the $750 price and pulls out a lame excuse to explain why he was off by 20%
even at 600$ it's still too expensive.
What is the common sense to put the 4070 out with 3080 power ? Ya, DLSS is better on the 4070 for sure, but is it even worth it ?
Worth for what purpose instead of what prior GPU is the question.
1080TI -> 4070 great upgrade.
3070 -> 4070 not.
Specific software much faster than on 3080/10G -> if it earns you money, but then why not 4090?
Your previous GPU consumes much more than 200W and the power bill is relevant -> maybe.
You did not get 3080/10G at a reasonable price -> buy 4070 (or, like me, wait for more reviews and maybe notebook 4080 Laptop alternatives).
DLSS or Frame Generation - who cares? Since you ask and if you do not care, buy AMD for nothing but 3D gaming.
