Steam survey is just a small market sample. While it's good that AMD has improved their market share, take those numbers with a grain of salt since not everyone installs Steam to begin with.
I do have to wonder if Zen 3 leading the pack is actually a good thing for AMD. That platform is over, so in the future, those users might either jump to Intel or rebuild from zero to move to AM5.
I'm currently trying to build my PC, and one thing that has called my attention is the lack of motherboards for AM5 compared to Intel LGA1700 platform. Prices are way higher for AM5 even when compared to DDR5 Intel motherboards, and nvm that, the offering number is lower, too. I'm left wondering if OEMs are being cautious after the long cycle of AM4. Perhaps that means that AM5 is meant to last way longer...
