A new Samsung Galaxy S23 price leak may bring some relief to those concerned about what price increases may be coming their way – unless they are planning on buying one of the Galaxy S23 models in Turkey. Alleged Turkish prices for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are the equivalent to thousands of US dollars.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Unsavory-Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Galaxy-S23-and-Galaxy-S23-Ultra-prices-in-Turkey-make-hikes-in-other-countries-much-more-palatable.686917.0.html
We have %80-90 inflation here due to TÜİK (A statistical agency affiliated with the government) but according to third-party institutions, Turkey's annual inflation varies between 250-300%. If the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra goes on sale for 65 thousand Turkish liras, the minimum wage earners who want to buy it have to work for 8 months without spending any money (if the price of the phone does not increase, which is Samsung Turkey is the only company that applied special pricing to Turkey in 2022 and did not raise its prices as much as possible.) So yes, our young people are condemned to use phones only at the entry level, due to the extremely high indirect taxation and the extremely high inflation rate in Turkey. (Note: I have been using the Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 for 6 years, but I do not have any mobile device at the moment because my phone broke down due to electronic wear.)
