AMD is expected to reveal midrange RDNA 3 cards, possibly the RX 7600/XT, with the Navi 33 GPU sometime in the coming months. Now, the latest rumor claims that the chip will only present measurable yet ultimately unexciting performance gains over the RDNA 2 boards. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Underwhelming-AMD-RDNA-3-Navi-33-performance-leak-suggests-a-mediocre-generation-for-midrange-GPUs-might-be-on-the-cards.685268.0.html
Again- Notebookcheck reporting All The Watts 'leak', even after he earlier 'leaked' N33 to be RX6800 performance. Which is a clear BS to everyone with any critical thinking, as it is known that N33 is still just 32CU, 128bit bus, and on 6nm. How about reporting a 'leak' from me instead, which says ~RX6700 performance if the specs leaked by more reputable leakers like Angstronomics are correct. That is because 6nm should allow up to 10% higher clocks than 6650XT, as seen on 6nm N24 vs 7nm N23; the could be some minor performance uplift from RDNA3; and 11% higher clocked 20Gbps memory vs 18Gbps on 6650XT. So, on average, it could be about ~10% over 6650XT, thus ~RX6700 (non-XT) performance. Or less, if any of the improvements mentioned do not come in.
This is not as bad as leaks that suggested RX 6900 performance out of Navi 33.
As for what it is, if it eventually migrates to around $200 like the 6600 did, it could be a good option. Obviously great 1080p performance, and we'll see about other resolutions.
Let's wait and see what is actually released before slashing our wrists.
