Title: Popular tech site CNET reportedly employing AI to write full-fledged articles
Post by: Redaktion on January 12, 2023, 11:29:02
Amidst the fears of AI-written articles taking over the internet, CNET has started publishing completely auto-generated articles without an official announcement. The tech site has allegedly been publishing such pieces since November 2022. While CNET doesn't mention which AI technology it is using, it is reasonable to assume the site could be using ChatGPT.

I noticed some of their articles were actually starting to sound a little... Odd, and that they were mostly correct aside from a few grammatical issues but the content of it often said things that were completely not how it works in reality.

Like some of the financial advice that they were giving on the site goes completely in the face of good and safe investing practices and we're promoting extremely risky advice like almost get rich quick schemes.

I guess that makes sense of it's chat GPT because that's everything here online is get rich quick investing tips so it's just pulling from that I suppose.
