Yeah, I refuse to be excited about an ~20% price drop from MSRP on an almost two-year-old card. The only reason the "sale" seems good is because the normal price is so ridiculously high, so they can take a large percentage off and it appears to be a great deal, when in fact it's a terrible one. Between the age of this card and the new generation coming out, this card should be closer to $300-320.
The 20% price drop from MSRP is not taking into account that this is a custom design. Other than that, I fully agree with you that the list price is ridiculously high. I'll hang on to my old GTX 960 until it blows up... or I will build myself a setup with iGP next and get a GeForce Now subscription for my daily (not too many) minutes of gameplay...
The 6750 XT version of this card is $389 after $20 rebate on Newegg.
