The next vehicle in Toyota's 2022 electric car stable has just been announced with a rumored price tag quite a bit lower than that of its direct competitor the Tesla Model 3. The Toyota bZ3 is a bit longer than the Model 3 and carries BYD's blade LFP batteries and powertrain.

Toyota apparently said very little in their announcement, with most information in this article being informed speculation by the author.

But in other news, Toyota has branded their own EV program a failure and promised a new plan soon. Who knew the hydrogen vehicles on which Toyota has built their future would get run over by EVs?

Everyone but Toyota.
