High prices and high temps and disappointing gaming performance. What can go wrong???
The performance is absolutely insane, especially in gaming. It handily beats intel, and, according to leaks, it handily beats RL when both use DDR56000. However, the AIBs and retailers stabbed AMD in the back and since AMD promised compatibility for the next 3 gens, they now have the retail prices of motherboards at 200 to 400% the actual MSRP, at least in the EU, which, coupled with the high price of DDR5 makes buying into this platform a complete nono in terms of value. Zen4 is now exclusive to the balls to the wall absolute best CPU on earth at any price crowd, the plebs like me, have to wait for the retailers to stop being greedy cunts and let MSRP prices reign.
If you want the top gaming performance, you're going to want an X3D version instead.
Then the 7600X (and motherboard) is too expensive for a budget user, and the price and core count doesn't compete well with Intel.
