The game streaming service will be discontinued effective January 18, 2023, but Google is at least looking to complete refunds for all hardware purchases from the Google Store, as well as game and add-on purchases from the Stadia store by mid-January.

I have to wonder, with Google's history of abandoning projects, leaving them partially completed, and jumping around from one form of them to another, if that all has a significant role in the reluctance of people to become invested in this platform.
