Title: The Apple Watch Ultra and the Watch Series 6 may have identical processors
Post by: Redaktion on September 16, 2022, 00:09:42
Apple may have introduced the Watch Series 8 and Watch Ultra with its Apple S8 SoC, but a higher chipset number is no guarantee of any significant improvements. Instead, it turns out that the Apple S8, Apple S7 and Apple S6 are identical with no CPU or GPU improvements between generations.

Reason not to buy it... If Apple doesn't take it serious why should anyone do so?

BT 5.3 LE , WiFi 6 + WPA3 and probably other power saving LTE/5G/GPS technologies missing.

On top newer cores and TSMC N5/N4 vs N7 would help a lot to improve battery runtime...

Especially as the runtime already is a joke - won't by anything that is below 7-10 days so you can charge it once a week and be fine. What's the point of a smartwatch if you have to charge it every [second] day but being able to use it then?

Classic Apple milking Idiots - and no I am not generally against Apple and write this on an iPhone.
