During its Zen 4 reveal event, AMD announced that the 3D V-Cache variants of the new CPUs are on their way. In line with our previous report about the Zen 4X3D SKUs releasing within six months of the Zen 4 launch, leaker Greymon55 suggests that AMD might take the wraps off the Zen 4 CPUs with 3D cache at CES 2023.

If this rumor is true, the 7900 X3D would be particularly exciting! Why? Because doubling the L3 cache would result in even more L3 cache per core on a SKU where 12 cores share the same amount of L3 cache as 16 cores do - where each core starts with 33% extra L3 cache.
