Title: OnePlus Nord Wired Earphones 3.5mm is the brand's latest set of audio peripherals
Post by: Redaktion on August 15, 2022, 20:39:32
OnePlus has released the Nord Wired Earphones 3.5mm through its website. As the name suggests, they are earphones with a headphone jack, and, as such, can be used with some new smartphones of the same series name. The new accessories have a magnetic design similar to some of the brand's original audio products.

"the rest of their specs are distinctly average"

Just FYI, those specs are all irrelevant.
The $700 Sennheiser IE600 uses a 7mm driver.
The human ear cannot perceive the full 20-20k hz. More typical is 40-15k hz. Sensitivity is also completely irrelevant apart from whether they require an amp.

All that matters with this type of product is price, build quality, comfort and frequency response.

The last one is the big one most compapanies get wrong, and the main reason hobbyists have moved to brands such as Moondrop, Blon, Tin Audio and others.

Mmmmm yeah nice try one plus.... After dropping the headphone jack for years, it wants the market back that it lost.... And after making an onslaught of trash tier tws devices it wants to show that it can still play ball.... Hard pass, in an age of high end budget iems, this is just another toss in the e-waste lot.

Don't expect to sell alot of these. One Plus quickly screwed over real tech and audio fans in their quest to be like Apple.

And in the process have become irrelevant. Yet another has been phone company they virtually no one had heard of.

Most sales of One Plus phones are probably given away free on a 2 year contract. Few people are paying cash for these phones.
