So as I understand it, if a CCS1 driver requests charging on a specific Magic Dock supercharger via the Tesla app, removing the cable will cause the CCS1 adapter to be already attached and non-removable.
But removing the cable without requesting CCS1 charging via the app will leave the CCS1 adapter attached to the supercharger frame, so that the default connector can charge a Tesla exactly as on a non-Magic Dock Supercharger.
Do I understand correctly?
If so, that's pretty slick!
This will be awesome! We just came across ND, the only level 3 charger in Jamestown ND is Tesla. We spent a lot of time on the Jamestown collage campus just to get enough charge to get to Dickinson. Looking forward to being able to use Tesla when there is no other level 3 options.
The end of the day this helps Tesla
You will say this charging infrastructure is so good and easy .I got the wrong car better sell this MachE and get a Tesla
I have been trying to figure out all day what the 'Magic Dock'. Thanks for this explanation!
