Ubisoft VP Nicolas Pouard is arguing that gamers currently focus too much on the downsides brought upon by NFTs instead of focusing on the direct benefits. Nevertheless, the Ubisoft NFT implementation appears to rely on the cash shop item model instead of the play to earn one.

No one likes NFT's but corporate clowns as a way to suck more money from your wallet

I'm a graphic designer and I love gaming, heck ubisofts game are are on my top 10 far cry, r6  And I can tell you 1 thing is that no matter what they think about NFTs is that no one in their right mind should purchase items with an artificial scarcity.

I don't understand why these publishers think that adding nfts adds some amazing new market.

Things like the steam community market have existed for years without nfts, nfts are just an expensive, inefficient way to do something we could already do
