The Pavilion 14's IPS display, Bang & Olufsen loudspeaker system and its largely silent operation make this device a great entertainer. The notebook is equipped with an Intel i5 CPU and 16 GB of RAM, ensuring plenty of processing power.

We bought a custom build of this Pavilion 14 last Thanksgiving for a very good price on sale. This review gives an accurate assessment. It's a good budget machine with no big flaws. It has been reliable and quiet.
The biggest cons are yes the white backlight on silver keycaps is completely pointless and they put the case screws under the feet, making it harder to open. On the plus side, HP doesn't charge that much for RAM and SSD, and you can also order it with the Intel AX201 wifi card, which we did.
