Post by: Redaktion on September 30, 2021, 18:51:20
OWC has announced a new kind of USB dock, rated to split 1 Thunderbolt feed between 2 monitors of (technically) up to 8K in resolution. It does so via the newer DisplayPort 1.4 standard, and is also rated to support HDR with compatible displays. OWC asserts that this new accessory can thus boost productivity, gaming or learning for a variety of users.

Great! Now we just need the one desktop-oriented 8K monitor that's come out so far to stop costing the same $4000 it did on release.
