Title: Acer TravelMate P6 (2021) Review: Welcome improvements to an already capable business laptop but not without caveats
Post by: Redaktion on September 13, 2021, 10:42:51
Acer upgraded the TravelMate P6 lineup to offer 16:10 displays, Intel Evo-based Tiger Lake underpinnings, enhanced security, and more. We have a pre-production model of the TravelMate P614P-52 with us and have put it through the paces to see how exactly Acer plans to take on competing business laptops in 2021.

Very impressive gaming benchmarks. Pretty much the top 1165G7 you've reviewed so far. Even trades blows with the 1195G7 Prestige 14.

Have you send feedback about Wi-Fi download performance anomaly? Possibly some software or hardware design issue than budget antenna configuration especially that upload is more problematic and there is no problem. Could you retested production model when available? Thank you!

Yeah we have sent the feedback to Acer. We noticed the anomaly with stock drivers as well. However, the Wi-Fi speeds improved with the latest driver from Intel, which was used for testing. Hopefully, they can send us a production unit some time soon :)

"1000 Hz   ≤ 99 % brightness setting"  -> it's a very poor result. Flickering practically on all brightness levels. How can you even describe it as a "Pros". It should be in "Cons" section.
