Xiaomi has only just released its inaugural foldable in its native China. It has also announced its potential out-of-warranty repair costs, which specify amounts for which a whole new conventional flagship could be bought instead in some cases. For example, a 16GB Mi Mix Fold official motherboard replacement costs more than a brand-new Mi 11 Pro right now.

This is why I'm still not hopping into the foldable screen smartphone bandwagon as the repair bill is not cheap. Frankly speaking, I'd rather see more iteration of LG's more practical detachable DualScreen case.
