Trotz der Bezeichnung ThinkPad T15g handelt es sich um eine waschechte mobile Workstation und teilt sich auch das Gehäuse mit dem ThinkPad P15. Das Design wurde zwar überarbeitet, doch mit den dicken Bildschirmrändern wirkt das Gerät ziemlich altbacken. Zudem gibt es Schwächen bei der Tastatur und auch Spulenfiepen ist ein Thema.
