Samsung has added some new features to the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Watch Active 2, its current flagship smartwatches. Unfortunately, one such feature requires you to have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, which seems unnecessary.

NOT IN CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-\
Think the reason for neading samsung phone is the phone app only available on Samsung store, and the watch3 and sprort2 have had pay since launch? At least in the UK anyhow.
Samsung Pay has been available since launch at least here in N. A.
Which Smartphones are required to do Blood Pressure? The article above says Android 7 and above. I have a Galaxy S8 running Android 9, but was told it required a Note9 or newer. What gives?.
.... and that is why I bought a Garmin.
So, when will the blood pressure and ECG functionality come to Vietnam?
I want to thank you for the ecg my husband watch told us he was in A Fib. Come to find out he has remitting A Fib and we would not have known that thank thank
You cant sit still enough to get mine on the galaxy 2 to even take the test as it says you must be still....I know...I know...breathing stops the test on mine.
I have a Pixel 4 and live in Canada. I have blood pressure and ECG. Look into sideloading apps....
When will ecg and blood pressure options be available in south africa
As of today (Feb25.21) Samsung ignoring completely theirs supporters.

As of Puerto Rico, Samsung do not allowed ECG software working here. But charging in front for theirs products as much as the country which are EXCLUSIVELY supply with new or updating software.
Samsung TV see above.
Samsung you socks even you product you have is fantastic.
The "Samsung Health Monitor" app was only working on Galaxy devices even when in testing.
Someone on XDA modified that beta app to make it installable on other devices too, and it was working fine, so it's definitely possible to make it work on other devices as well.
I ordered my Galaxy watch 3 from Samsung on January 26th. Both the ECG and Samsung Pay came pre installed. I've read about a blood pressure monitor feature or app and that's the one thing I don't have. My software version is R845USQU1BTK2. I'm from the US my watch is paired to the Galaxy S20+ on Sprint's network however I'm sure that my carrier has nothing to do with it.
