The VivoBook scores with a Core i5 processor, 8 GB of working memory (dual-channel mode), and an NMVe SSD. Asus did some cost-cutting in terms of the battery, which only offers a capacity of 32 Wh.

This is yet another laptop from Asus that does not have a heat-sink connected to the fan. I see a heat-pipe ending beside the fan but no heat-sink connected to the fan itself.
I'd gladly pay a little more for a complete cooling system.
Asus needs to get their cost-quality balance right.
