Title: No Ryzen 4000 this year? Report claims that AMD’s 7nm Zen 3 “Vermeer” might be delayed to 2021 due to “lack of competition” from Intel Comet Lake S for Ryzen 3000

A report by Digitimes indicates that AMD might delay the launch of its Zen 3-based Ryzen 4000 desktop CPUs to 2021. The report cites the "mediocre performance of Intel's Comet Lake" as a key reason for the delay.

I think it's funny that everytime AMD's stock starts to rise we have ppl who are paid to try to scare people away from investing. Way to wait all day to repeat news we already heard this morning. Intel is gonna get their butts handed to them.
Don't Trust The Media!!!

Now I don't own as of now not even "one" AMD powered gadget; that said.

Employees @Intel beat Porn-Stars

A report by porn-valley Must-Porn magazine claimed that Intel employees topped the chart of "consuming porn during office hours"; Intel has beaten even porn-stars at this going by the average hours/day statistics.

See, spicy headliners are not that difficult to manufacture. So, don't be a mouth piece; be a voice instead of noise/amplifier.

cheers

This is BS, AMDs focus will be on further increasing and entrenching  their market share.  This is best served by sticking to their published roadmap, beating Intel in both performance and delivery to market, further building trust with blue chip customers.

Dr Su did say wafer starts are tight,  I would guess contract commitments for the game consoles will limit what they can do with a zen3 launch this year.

Wouldn't it be difficult for AMD to renegotiate with TSMC? Those contracts should have been agreed upon a long time ago. They don't have their own foundry to be flexible to make such a move. On the other hand if they don't move to another node this time around then TSMC might not care what they make.

just announcing about the delay is just another way of free advertising for their cpu's Especially with the flimsy excuse of no competition.

Why the false news? This should have "Rumor" at the beginning if the title. AMD themeselves said is last CES that Zen 3 and Big Navi are coming this year.

They didn't announce the delay. In fact, they have now come out outright and said the rumour is false.

So, uh, nice speculation there but no?
